The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Business to Business Customer Marketing leads customer‑focused marketing strategies that drive engagement, retention, and commercial growth across Dechra’s animal health portfolio. This role translates brand and portfolio strategy into practical, measurable customer marketing programs that enable strong field execution and long‑term customer relationships.
Serving as a key connector between marketing, sales, and operations, this role ensures B2B marketing initiatives are integrated, compliant, insight‑driven, and operationally excellent—strengthening brand impact and sales productivity across the customer lifecycle.
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Customer B2B Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute integrated B2B customer marketing strategies aligned to commercial and portfolio priorities.
- Design programs that drive acquisition, retention, cross‑sell, and customer growth.
- Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans that deliver measurable impact.
Trade Show & Event Marketing Leadership
- Own end-to-end strategy and execution for trade shows, medical education, and sponsorship events.
- Manage event ROI measurement and performance tracking.
- Partner with sales leadership to ensure events support pipeline generation and customer relationship development.
- Oversee sponsorship strategy, booth design, content development, and customer experience at events.
B2B Marketing Operations & Commercial Enablement
- Lead marketing operational processes including campaign governance, workflow management, and performance reporting.
- Partner with marketing operations and sales operations to improve lead management and customer data quality.
- Implement performance dashboards measuring campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and ROI.
Cross-Functional Commercial Partnership
- Collaborate across marketing, sales, medical, regulatory, finance, and operations teams.
- Mentor team members and support development of scalable customer marketing capabilities.
Brand & Customer Experience Alignment
- Ensure customer marketing programs reinforce brand positioning and customer value messaging.
- Support thought leadership customer storytelling, and reference programs.
Leadership & Capability Development
- Coach and mentor marketing and operations team members.
- Help build scalable customer marketing capabilities across the organization.
- Support development of marketing talent pipelines

- 7 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within B2B, within the animal health industry or similar industry with complex commercial teams
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing b2b customer lifecycle marketing strategies focused on retention, expansion and customer engagement
- Experience partnering directly with sales, customer success, or commercial operation teams to drive revenue outcomes
- Proven experience leading end to end planning and execution of trade shows, customer conferences, or large-scale commercial events
- Ability to translate event strategy into pipeline, brand awareness, or customer engagement outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to use data insights to optimize marketing investment decisions
- Experience supporting capability development and coaching and mentoring customer marketing team members
- Advanced understanding of marketing performance metrics, ROI modelling, and commercial impact measurement
- Ability to analyze customer insights and convert them into actionable marketing strategies
- Knowledge of B2B buying cycles and customer journey mapping
- Strong ability to translate business strategy into b2b customer marketing programs
- Expected travel: 30%
