The Opportunity
This is not a Marketing Manager position.
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with a proven track record of developing and executing product strategies for specialty veterinary pharmaceuticals in the Companion Animal market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of established, high-value brands, driving sustainable growth through product lifecycle management, scientific marketing, customer insights, and close collaboration with Sales, Technical Services, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Supply Chain.
This role requires a strategic thinker who understands how to grow mature brands, identify market opportunities, and translate commercial insights into measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual and long-term product strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned products, maximizing market share, profitability, and sustainable growth.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and industry trends to identify business opportunities.
- Build product positioning and value propositions that strengthen Dechra's leadership in Companion Animal specialty medicine.
- Design and implement integrated marketing plans using scientific, digital, and traditional marketing initiatives.
- Develop promotional materials, educational campaigns, and commercial tools that improve customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
- Partner with the Commercial team to provide product training, strategic guidance, and field support.
- Manage product forecasts, marketing budgets, and investment priorities while ensuring an appropriate return on investment.
- Monitor business performance through KPIs and recommend corrective actions based on data and market performance.
- Work cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Technical Services, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to ensure successful execution of portfolio strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine (MVZ) is strongly preferred. Degrees in Marketing or related field with extensive veterinary pharmaceutical product management experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 7 years of Product Management experience within the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
- Mandatory experience managing Companion Animal pharmaceutical products.
- Demonstrated experience developing product strategies, portfolio management, lifecycle management, forecasting, and commercial execution.
- Strong understanding of the Companion Animal veterinary market, customer segmentation, and competitive landscape.
- Experience working with specialty therapeutic portfolios is highly desirable.
- Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and business planning skills.
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Portuguese is a plus.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- Proven Product Management experience within the Companion Animal veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience managing pharmaceutical brands or specialty therapeutic portfolios for small animals only.
- Currently based in Mexico City. This is an on-site position.
