The Opportunity

Dechra is an international specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals products business. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, and sales and marketing of high-quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst who will play a critical role in driving strategic financial decisions by providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency. This position is a hybrid role and will require some attendance on the Somersby site.

Main Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Analyse financial data and trends to support strategic planning and decision-making

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards

  • Develop financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide variance analysis

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes across departments

  • Support cost-benefit analysis for new initiatives and investments

  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to process and analyse large datasets quickly and effectively

  • Ability to manage own workload, meet deadlines and remain focused

  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, planning and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders internal and external to Dechra

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) - desirable

  • Prior experience with data modelling and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) - desirable

  • Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages - desirable
