The Opportunity

We are looking for a North Regional Sales Manager to lead the commercial execution and strategic field operation within the Northern region of Mexico.

This role is a critical leadership position within the commercial organization, responsible for ensuring that Dechra’s Demand Generation strategy is executed effectively through distributor partnerships and the field sales team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering both short-term performance and long-term sustainable growth.

Job Purpose

The North Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading the commercial performance of the Northern region by:

  • Executing the national commercial strategy at regional level
  • Leading and developing the regional sales team
  • Managing distributor relationships
  • Monitoring sales performance and inventory
  • Identifying growth opportunities
  • Ensuring operational discipline in the field

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Execution

  • Execute the commercial strategy in alignment with the Demand Generation program
  • Drive performance through direct engagement with distributors and sales representatives
  • Ensure achievement of short and long-term regional objectives
  • Monitor execution quality across the assigned territory


Sales Analysis & Opportunity Identification

  • Analyzeregional and distributor sales performance by:
    • Product
    • Customer
    • Territory
  • Identify business opportunities and areas of risk
  • Develop action plans to improve territory productivity
  • Reduce risks associated with slow-moving inventory and short shelf-life products


Distributor Management

  • Prepare distributor sales reports and performance reviews
  • Monitor:
    • Sell-in
    • Sell-out
    • Product mix
    • Inventory rotation
    • Pricing compliance
  • Ensure execution of commercial agreements
  • Strengthen long-term distributor relationships


Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports in the region
  • Monitor field activity and customer engagement
  • Ensure CRM discipline and data quality
  • Maintain accountability and execution standards
  • Support capability development across the team


Market Presence

  • Participate in local and regional veterinary events
  • Maintain relationships with:
    • Key Opinion Leaders
    • Veterinary associations
    • Strategic customers
  • Align market activities with Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams


Operational Excellence

  • Ensure efficient use of company resources including:
    • Vehicles
    • Laptops
    • Mobile devices
    • Promotional materials
  • Maintain field compliance and process discipline
  • Support continuous commercial improvement

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Veterinary Medicine degree required (DVM / MVZ)
  • Professional license required

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial experiencein:
    • Animal health
    • Veterinary pharmaceutical industry
    • Companion animal / small animal segment
  • Previous leadership experience in regional sales strongly preferred
  • Experience managing distributors required

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical capability
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
  • CRM management experience
  • Sales forecasting and reporting experience
  • Ability to interpret commercial data and trends

Languages

  • Advanced conversational English required
  • Portuguese desirable

Important Application Criteria

To be considered, candidates must:

✔ Hold a Veterinary Medicine degree
✔ Have commercial experience in companion animal health
✔ Have a valid driver’s license
✔ Be currently based in Monterrey, Nuevo León
