Please note: Due to the nature of our business, all successful candidates will be required to complete a basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service check) before employment can commence, and at regular intervals during employment.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of analytical activities that keep our products safe, compliant and ready for release. You’ll carry out routine testing, stability work and validation analysis, always following our written procedures and Quality Management System.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll also be a mentor and technical expert — someone others turn to for guidance, troubleshooting and support. You’ll help drive improvements in our laboratory processes, contribute to investigations and CAPA activity, and play an active role in maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised working environment.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Performing analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products in line with cGMP
  • Recording, reviewing and maintaining high‑quality analytical documentation
  • Leading and supporting laboratory investigations and quality‑related activities
  • Taking swab samples and carrying out in‑process testing when required
  • Managing inventory of chemicals, consumables and reference materials
  • Coordinating external testing and monitoring progress
  • Promoting excellent housekeeping, safety and compliance
  • Coaching and mentoring analysts to maintain strong analytical standards
  • Suggesting and supporting improvements to methods, systems and processes

What you’ll bring

Essential skills and experience:

  • 4–5 years’ experience in a GMP pharmaceutical QC laboratory
  • Strong problem‑solving and investigational skills
  • Experience with RAW Material testing
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Confident communicator and supportive team player
  • Experience mentoring or coaching others
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV‑VIS, Karl Fischer, titration, TOC and physical testing
  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and GMP procedures

 Qualifications:

  • HNC/D or BSc in a relevant scientific discipline

Desirable:

  • Experience suggesting or implementing improvements in analytical methods or lab systems

What’s the interview process?
