The Opportunity
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- supporting the execution of research and development (R&D) projects within Pharmaceutical Development
- developing, validating, and transferring physicochemical analytical methods for pharmaceutical products
- performing analysis of development and stability samples using a range of analytical techniques
- contributing to formulation development and optimization of new and improved products in collaboration with CMC and senior team members
- supporting the development of manufacturing and packaging processes, including selection of raw materials and primary packaging
- designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports
- monitoring relevant scientific literature and regulatory guidelines (pharmacopoeias, EMA, GMP)
- reviewing data, calculations, and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
- coordinating with external laboratories and supporting product transfer to manufacturing
- contributing to the preparation of specifications, manufacturing documentation, and validation activities
- conducting stability studies and preparing related protocols, reports, and registration documentation
- ensuring proper maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment
- preparing SOPs and training staff on laboratory techniques and procedures
- participating in GMP inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance
- managing procurement of laboratory materials, chemicals, and equipment

- a degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Medical Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related scientific field
- a basic understanding of pharmaceutical formulation principles
- knowledge of and experience working in accordance with GMP and other relevant regulatory requirements
- proficiency in MS Windows and key MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
- a good command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate professionally and prepare technical documentation
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- preferably, experience in analytical and/or formulation-related roles for human or veterinary pharmaceutical products
- preferably, experience in the development, application, and validation of analytical methods and techniques for chemical and instrumental analysis
