The Opportunity
The Director Strategic Veterinary Partnerships is responsible for overseeing the Veterinary Medical Operations and strategic plans and programs across the landscape of the largest and most complex accounts. This leadership role will be a critical piece of the development and delivery of value-added medical resources and training to assist in mutual growth for both Dechra and our customers. The successful candidate will lead a team of professional services to educate a network of veterinarians on the value of the Dechra product line as it relates to the customers key performance indicators and measures of success.
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- Strategic Account Management:
- Serve as the veterinary lead for key corporate accounts (e.g., large veterinary hospital groups, buying groups, or academic institutions).
- Align clinical and business strategy with the needs of strategic partners.
- Deploy appropriate resources that align with the overarching medical strategy of partners
- Veterinary Expertise:
- Provide clinical guidance, support product training, and consult on evidence-based medicine.
- Represent the company at veterinary conferences, panels, and scientific discussions.
- Cross-functional Leadership:
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs to drive account strategy and recruit new KOLs for current and pipeline product support.
- Support field teams with professional education and technical support.
- Leadership & Management:
- Recruit, onboard and lead a team of Medical Leads for aligned strategic partners.
- Develop and implement departmental strategies, operating procedures and personal development plans for the team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align veterinary services with organizational objectives.
- Data-Driven Leadership:
- Analyze market and customer data to inform strategy and product positioning.
- Provide feedback to internal teams to help shape product development and improvements.
- Understanding of key performance indicators and financial metrics being monitored by strategic partners
- Training & Education:
- Lead Continuing Education (CE) events, webinars, and lunch & learns.
- Ensure key accounts are up to date on product efficacy, safety, and application.

- This position requires a combination of both Medical & Corporate Account experience.
- Experience leading a Medical or Corporate Accounts Team preferred
- DVM or equivalent Veterinary degree required
- Minimum of 5 years in the Veterinary Field, including clinical and animal health industry experience
- Experience supporting Corporate, Hospital Strategies, or Key Account Relationships is required
- Proven track record of success with communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills required
- Valid Driver’s License and able to drive a vehicle
- Travel: 30%
